  12.      Xpm is the X11 standard pixmap library.  It is contributed software that
  13.      is freely available.  As a service to its customers, SGI passes through
  14.      this library.

  17.      This directory contains the Xpm documents as we get them.  These
  18.      documents contain such things as the available information, and
  19.      information on how to get Xpm directly.  There are no Xpm man pages
  20.      (other than this one).

  24.      This is the pixmap library that SGI builds and ships.  We just pass
  25.      through what we get.  We upgrade to whatever version of libXpm is current
  26.      when we ship a product.  That means that, unlike the libraries that SGI
  27.      controls (e.g. libvk), we make no attempt to check for such things as
  28.      binary compatibility.  Anyone using libXpm.so needs to be aware of that;
  29.      if this is a problem, then link with libXpm.a, not the DSO.
